Consortio Chartered Accountants (Consortio) was formed in 2015 by Chris Viles, a Chartered Accountant with 20 years’ experience advising owner managed businesses.
Prior to forming Consortio, Chris had worked in the restructuring profession where he gained hands-on experience in various business sectors including healthcare, retail, manufacturing and motor retail. In between Chris was also involved in launching two start-up companies in the motor trade.
Having decided that a change is a good a rest, Chris left the restructuring world in early 2015 to launch Consortio with the simple aim of using his commercial experience to support owner managed businesses achieve their financial goals. Following a successful launch in 2015 and the acquisition of two accountancy practices along the way, we now offer a range of accountancy, taxation and advisory services to more than 500 clients. But as a firm we remain true to our core objective; we exist to help our clients achieve their financial goals.
Since its launch Consortio has helped a number of start-up businesses flourish and is proud to champion the entrepreneurial spirit in the Yorkshire business community. As both an accountant and business owner, Chris understands all too well the stresses and strains of turning a business idea into reality. Consortio aims to help clients manage their finance function so they can focus on running the business.
As a member of the Institute for Turnaround, Chris has an accredited track record of dealing with crises in business. From dealing with despondent staff, to working on cashflow plans to resolve problems with HMRC, creditors and lenders, Chris understands the needs of external stakeholders in times of trouble. His ability to focus on managing the crisis leaves the business owner time to manage their business.
